The Lesson Horses III
What better way to learn to ride than on a horse schooled to teach?
Twinkle’s Fanci (Twinkle)
Twinkle
came to Pierce Farms in July, 2008. She is owned by our youngest
Pierce Farms rider, Michael Roberts. She has become a favorite
in our summer camps and our lesson program with our tiny riders.
She is also Marley's favorite armrest! She has proven to be a
sweet and kind mare that will take care of her young riders.
Twinkle has a whole lot of energy and provides a quick and exciting
ride for many of our young equestrians in either English or Western
disciplines. According to the animal communicator, she
especially likes to have the song "Twinkle, Twinkle, Fanci Star" sung
to her! Twinkle has also won the blues in the jumping arena
and though we do not jump her anymore, she is bringing in the
ribbons in the gymkhana shows!
Southern Belle (Belle)
What
a pretty pony! Belle joined Pierce Farms in September, 2006. This
little black pony mare is owned and loved by Katelyn Roberts.
Belle is a pro trained hunter/jumper and prior to coming to Pierce
Farms she had a very successful career in the show ring winning
many, many blue ribbons in jumping and equitation. Belle is currently
perfecting her ability to turn the barrels. She is becoming a
great gymkhana pony for her young rider and is winning lots of
blue ribbons in the gymkhana show arena as well. She is occasionally
used in our summer camps and is also occasionally lent to the
lesson program for our young English riders. Thank you,
Katelyn
Sergeant Poco Sage (Sage)
This
beautiful foundation bred grulla Quarter Horse mare was purchased
last year by our business manager as her personal horse. Nicole
Presley, the instructor who was training this then 2 year old
filly fell in love with her, so.... she bought her! Sage
is now Nicole's personal horse. She is a wonderful mare with
a great mind and an especially sweet disposition. We are delighted
to have both Nicole and Sage as a part of Pierce Farms. Sage
is lent to our lesson program for select lessons. Thank
you, Nicole.
